Before descending

Finish the permitted worship and offerings, collect prasadam and regroup. Check onward connections without rushing the descent. Take your waste and personal belongings with you.

During the return

Continue the agreed discipline and care for fellow pilgrims. Fatigue can make travel difficult; allow rest and avoid driving when exhausted.

Completing the observance

Ask your Guruswamy when and where the Mala is to be removed in your tradition. Some groups conclude with worship at home or a temple. Learn the concluding prayer and handling of the Mala from that guide.

Prasadam and daily life

Share prasadam respectfully and store it as directed. Carry the habits of restraint, prayer and service into everyday life. Completing the external observance need not end the principles practised during it.
